For anyone let alone a child going into hospital can be a daunting adventure and sometimes frightening experience. So as a early years practitioner it’s important to work alongside the parents and or carers and sometimes the medical staff to make it a smooth transition for the child and they are happy to go to hospital, weather ifs for medical treatment or a surgical operations.

Every year 1 in 4 children under the age of five goes into hospital and over 2million children are seen in A&E units. Having a meeting with the parents/carer so you know what is going to happen, if they are able to stay with child. If they can’t is another family member going to stay also what will happen once the hospital visit is over and they are home.
