As early years practitioners one of our daily routines is to ensure that we promote equality and diversity at all times when supporting the children in our settings, either during play time, mealtime or rest times. Children needs to feel wanted, and so it is imperative for individual practitioner to know their key child and family in depth so they are able to help with their individual needs. It’s also important as practitioners that we complete any training that’s available to us for equality and diversity so we understand how to handle appropriately the different needs and situations we come across daily.
