How to Judge evidence and make Assessment Decisions
–Currency –I will check if the evidence submitted reflect the current legislation, policies, and procedures and if anything has changed since the evidence was produced
–Authenticity-I will check if the work was done solely by the learner.
–Sufficiency-I will check if the amount of evidence submitted is enough to deem the learner competent.
–Validity—I will make sure the assessment method used is the best way to assess the person for that activity
–Reliability—I will ensure that the assessment methods and result will be consistent regardless of who assessed him/her and also where and when the assessment take place.
Fair—I will also make sure the learner needs were met during the assessments and that the learner was not disadvantaged in anyway.
Finally, once the decision has been made, I will record my findings and make sure they include the following:
—Who assessed it?
—What was assessed?
—When it was assessed|
-The assessment decision
-The assessment method used
-The location of the supporting documents
-why I think the candidate is competent or not
After recording the details, feedback will be given to the candidate
