Why is it important to correctly Record activities when Administering Medication?

rrrr3-answers

The reason Why is it important to correctly record activities when administering medication is to ensure that the correct medication and dosage is administered to the correct individual at the correct time. Take for example Mrs Z could refuse his medication for a period of time, this could allow his condition to deteriorate and this could prove fatal if not noticed due to records not being kept up to date and accurate. It is also important to correctly record activities to safeguard myself against accusations of abuse, assault and even theft which could result in disciplinary action or dismissal. My employer could face prosecution under the health and safety act legislation which might lead to the home being fined and even the possibility of imprisonment for myself or my employer. There is also the possibility that CSCI could close the home.
